Biography.
Hey there! I’m Jesuël Lanoy, a self taught photographer born and raised on the beautiful island of Curaçao and who is now living in The Netherlands. My love for photography started in 2015 when I was on vacation with my family. I grabbed a DSLR camera, took some pictures, and was immediately hooked. When I got back home, I approached the photographer from my local church for some tips and tricks to help get me started. From there on, I dived into YouTube tutorials and practiced every chance I got by taking pictures in my church.
In 2016 I officially launched Jay’s Photography. At first I did free photoshoots just to gain experience, but soon enough I started working with paid clients. What makes my work unique is the way I play with the foreground, midground, and background to bring photos to life. I also look for angles that others might not think of, making each shot feel fresh and different.
